U Naturkundemuseum (U6, about 300 m) and S Nordbahnhof (S1, S2, S25, S26, about 400 m) are within a short walk.

Check connections and any lift outages on the day of travel.

Access

The visitor entrance on Chausseestraße and a southern pedestrian entrance on Hannoversche Straße are open to the public.

• Hannoversche Straße pedestrian entrance: Southern pedestrian entrance on Hannoversche Straße; bicycles are not permitted.
• Cemetery chapel: Chapel with James Turrell’s light installation.
• Visitor toilet: Free wheelchair-accessible toilet for cemetery visitors.
• Martin Luther memorial: Landmark within the cemetery.
• Philippstraße stop near the cemetery: Bus stop about 40 metres from the cemetery boundary; it is not on the cemetery grounds.

Parking

The current official visitor information does not identify a dedicated cemetery car park. Public transport is the more predictable option at this central location.
